Here's some research I found on 15th-century men's shoes. (
Schnabelschuhe means "beak shoes.") The second picture is what I found on the streets of NYC. Love the pointy, slightly upturned toes. The gun-metal buckles give it an industrial edge, I think. One of Richard's (the character's) shoes will be transformed into a corrective boot by adding an amazing leather leg brace created by Barb Filipsic of our costume room.
